Getting Started & Placing Your Order
How do we get a Quote?
There are three easy steps to receive a Quote:
- When do you want to receive and return the order?
- What hardware and services do you need?
- Where will the order be delivered?
Fello's hardware and services pricing varies based on the total quantity and rental duration.
Fello determines round-trip shipping cost/method based on the chosen delivery zip code and the time available before delivery.
How do we place an Order?
Once you have completed your Quote, click "Checkout," enter your round-trip shipping and billing information, and you're all set! You will receive a confirmation email with your Order details.
Fello recommends placing your Order at least 2 (two) weeks before the Rental Start Date. Booking within 2 (two) weeks of the Rental Start Date may result in unavailable inventory, expedited delivery, and/or rush fees.
Fello only offers rentals to registered businesses and not individuals.
What are Rental Start and Rental End Dates?
The Rental Start Date is when UPS is scheduled to deliver your order. The shipment should arrive by your chosen date before 8:00 PM local time.
Fello recommends choosing a Rental Start Date so your order will arrive at least 1 (one) to 3 (three) days before your event.
The Rental End Date is when you must return your hardware to UPS.
What products does Fello offer for rent?
Fello offers rentals for iPads & iPhones and accessories for these models. We do not currently offer non-Apple tablets or other AV hardware.
Why rent and not buy?
Fello offers rentals as a cost-effective, short-term solution. Generally, lower quantity requests for only a few items, or durations longer than 3 (three) months, would be better off purchasing hardware.
Fello offers the most update to date software and operating systems. Buying hardware includes additional costs such as 4G service and insurance contracts, as well as maintenance and storage.
How long is the rental term?
Fello rentals can be provided for any length of time, from 1 (one) day up to 3 (three) months. Rentals will always arrive on or before your chosen Rental Start Date, and you must return the rental to UPS on or before your chosen Rental End Date.
How soon can we receive an order?
Fello can generally ship for arrival as soon as the next business day if you place your order before 1:00 PM Eastern Time.
We recommend placing your order at least 2 (two) weeks before your Rental Start Date to avoid unavailable hardware, expedited shipping, and/or rush fees.
How long will it take to set up the hardware?
We recommend receiving your order at least 1 (one) to 3 (three) days before your event, depending on the total quantity. Delivery in advance will allow you and your team to review all hardware and complete testing and training before your event.
Your hardware will arrive fully charged and ready to use. When you have unpacked everything, you only need to turn it on to start using it.
How many can be rented?
Fello can provide any quantity rental, from several items to thousands.
Where does Fello deliver?
Fello currently offers rentals to the entirety of the United States of America and Canada. If you need a rental anywhere else, don't hesitate to contact us directly by phone or email.
How are rentals delivered?
Fello orders are delivered via UPS shipping. All orders will arrive on or before your chosen Rental Start Date. Fello uses UPS Ground whenever possible to keep shipping rates cost-effective but may need to be upgraded to UPS Express services based on the delivery location and booking date.
Fello will reach out with tracking information when your order leaves our facility. This date may vary from 1 (one) to 6 (six) business days before your Rental Start Date, based on delivery location.
Please double-check the delivery address before submitting your order to Fello.
How are rentals returned?
All orders must be returned to UPS on or before your chosen Rental End Date, and Fello provides a prepaid return shipping label(s) with every order. We require that you retain the original boxes and foam packaging the hardware arrives in to re-pack your order. Failure to do so may result in additional fees.
You may either bring the box(es) to UPS, or Fello can schedule a UPS pickup at least 1 (one) business day before the pickup date.
Fello only requires the order to be in UPS possession on or before your Rental End Date. You are not billed for any time the return is in transit to Fello.
How do I return the order, and is shipping included in my cost?
Your order must be submitted to UPS for return on or before your Rental End date. You may either drop it off at a UPS Store Location or schedule a UPS pickup with Fello at least one business day in advance.
Your order total reflects round-trip shipping costs, and we include pre-paid return labels with the hardware.
If you lose your return labels, please contact our Fello Success Team, and we can send replacements.
Fello
Hardware & Services Information
Hardware Insurance
Reduces the liability cost of any damaged or stolen hardware. It is highly recommended for rentals with large quantities and/or where staffing is outsourced.
Fello offers two tiers of insurance protection plans. The cost varies based on the total quantity and rental duration and only applies to certain items.
Damage Insurance - Covers only repairable damages. A per-item deductible will be applied for all claims.
Damage + Theft Insurance - Covers only for repairable damages or theft. A per-item deductible will be applied for all claims, and a police report must accompany theft claims.
Shipping Insurance
Protects against loss of equipment while in delivery transit. Fello will make every effort to send replacement equipment to arrive as scheduled. If Fello is unable to do so, this Insurance protection plan will guarantee a partial or full hardware refund based on the actual arrival date.
This plan does not protect against standard delays in transit time.
4G/LTE
All Fello iPads & iPhones can connect to existing WiFi networks; however, not every venue has reliable WiFi. By adding 4G/LTE to your order, the hardware you receive will be able to connect to an independent cellular connection, so you won’t need to rely on WiFi.
Fello offers Verizon 4G LTE Cellular Data with all our iPads & iPhones (identical to the 4G service on personal cell phones or tablets) for an additional fee. This service will provide an internet connection wherever Verizon coverage is available (please see the link below for availability). VerizonWireless.com/support/knowledge-base-16455
For third-party devices, Fello offers solutions such as the Cradle Router, which can provide WiFi for up to 75 (seventy-five) devices at once in a limited area.
On-site Setup & Support
Hire on-site support to assist with hardware setup/breakdown, troubleshooting, and training. This service is $1,500.00 per 8-hour day with a two-day minimum deposit required upfront. Additional fees may apply for travel and accommodations. Details and additional days for this service will be arranged with the Fello Success team after checkout.
Media Installation
Fello offers Media Installation services for all of our iPads & iPhones. This service covers app installation, WiFi pre-configuration, content installation, custom settings, and anything in-between.
Without choosing this service, our iPads & iPhones arrive factory reset with all standard apps. If you do not select Media Installation services, you can install anything you like with your own Apple ID. We only ask that you sign out of your account before returning the hardware to Fello.

Can we physically put anything on the hardware?
Fello strives to maintain the exceptional appearance of our hardware and asks customers to refrain from applying any stickers, tape, adhesive, or other materials that may leave markings. Additional fees may apply if our team finds any returned hardware that requires extra maintenance or cleaning.
Can we choose the hardware color?
iPads & iPhones (except iPhone X) are available with either a Black or White colored front bezel. After placing your order, please let a Fello sales rep know if you need a specific color. Regardless of choice, we will always try to provide the same color for all hardware in a single rental.
The back of the iPads & iPhones can have varying colors; we do not catalog inventory or provide hardware according to this color.

Square
Hardware Bundle Information
Square Stand for Contactless and Chip
Comes with a 9.7” iPad, Square Stand 1st Gen (which has a built-in Swipe Reader), and Contactless & Chip Reader with Dock for accepting Chip and Tap card payments (such as Apple or Google Pay).
Square Stand 2nd Gen
A newer and faster version of the Square Stand, which comes with a 10.2” iPad. It has a built-in Contactless & Chip Reader and attached Swipe Reader. This hardware must be powered at all times.
Square Stand Kit
Identical to the Square Stand for Contactless and Chip. It also includes a Cash Drawer and Receipt Printer for a lower bundled cost than choosing these items separately.
Square Register
An all-inclusive piece of hardware designed by Square that does not use an iPad. It includes a Swipe Reader, Contactless & Chip Reader, and dual display screens (one for the merchant and one for the customer). This hardware must be powered at all times.
It does not have built-in 4G service, which must be provided by a separate Mobile Hotspot.
iPad Mini with L7 Case
Comes with an iPad Mini and a case that holds both a Swipe Reader and Contactless & Chip Reader.
Mobile Selling Kit
Comes with an iPad Mini and a case that holds both a Swipe Reader and Contactless & Chip Reader. This bundle also includes a Bluetooth Barcode Scanner for a lower bundled cost than choosing these items separately.
Square Terminal
A compact, multi-functional piece of hardware designed by Square that does not use an iPad. The Terminal has a built-in Swipe Reader, Contactless & Chip Reader, and Receipt Printer.
It does not have built-in 4G service, which must be provided by a separate Mobile Hotspot.
iPads & iPhones
We offer several models of iPads & iPhones, which all include a Swipe Reader, Case, and Charger.
Accessory Information
We offer a variety of accessories to be paired with the hardware listed above:
Printers
Receipt Printers can provide a paper order receipt for customers. Square also offers the option to email or text a customer receipt after each transaction.
The Kitchen Printer can provide a separate order preparation paper ticket for kitchen/warehouse staff.
Cash Drawers & Boxes
The Cash Drawer is electronically operated and connected to your POS system via USB. The Drawer automatically pops open when a cash transaction is made and can also be opened and closed manually with a key.
The Cash Box is a non-electronic, secure metal box. The Box can only be opened and closed manually with a key.
Barcode Scanners
Scanners are used to scan pre-registered Universal Product Codes (UPCs or Barcodes) for quicker item processing and checkouts. These accessories cannot scan QR Codes or other 2D Barcodes.
Battery Packs & Power Stations
The Battery Pack is a smaller unit that allows for the charging of up to two units and can provide power for mobile setups.
The Power Station is a larger unit that allows for the charging of multiple units and can provide all-day power for stationary setups.
Cradle Routers
The Cradle Router provides a WiFi connection for up to seventy-five devices within a 300-foot radius. These units can be used in place of or in support of existing WiFi and 4G connections.

Fello will configure your Square app with custom pricing, images, and inventory information. This service is $100.00/hour and will be billed by Fello after work is completed. The number of hours required varies based on the scope of work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the Kits need to be connected to a power source?
Any Desktop Point of Sale Kits must be plugged in to utilize all payment processing methods (Swipe, Chip, & Tap) but may still have limited Swipe functionality when not connected to a power source.
Any Mobile Point of Sale Kits and iPads/iPhones (paired with Readers) can utilize all payment processing methods (Swipe, Chip, & Tap) without a power source, but may need to be recharged during or after each event day.
All of our hardware ships fully charged, although a slight loss of battery may occur in transit.
Do the Accessories need to be connected to a power source?
USB-connected accessories must be connected to the Kits and powered by their connection cables. Bluetooth-connected accessories can be connected wirelessly.
In most cases, the hardware will come with a USB Accessory hub or built-in USB ports, connecting all accessories to the Kit.
How does the hardware connect to the internet?
All of the devices are capable of connecting to an existing on-site WiFi network.
If you will not have WiFi available at your event, you may select 4G/LTE (or Mobile Hotspot) to have hardware that is capable of connecting to the internet via a cellular data connection.
The Square Register and Square Terminal can also be hardwire-connected directly by choosing an Ethernet Hub.
Will the hardware come with setup instructions?

Do I need an existing Shopify Account to rent hardware?
No! New merchants can take advantage of Shopify's $1 per month trial that runs for 3 months on eligible Shopify plans and receive POS Pro at no additional cost during this trial period. This gives you full access to Shopify's powerful POS system—with no long-term commitment—making it ideal for events and pop-ups.
What do the rental start and end dates mean?
The rental start date is the day you will receive the hardware. Orders are shipped by UPS and will arrive by end of day on the rental start date. If you prefer to receive your hardware a day or two before your event for setup, select the date you’d like the hardware to arrive. Your rentalend date is the day you return the rental hardware to UPS.
When will my credit card get charged?
Your credit card will be charged when you place your hardware rental order. This transaction will appear on your bill as "Fello Tech Rentals."
Can I buy the hardware instead?
Visit the Shopify Hardware Store to purchase hardware.
How many bundles should I order?
This depends on the expected traffic at your event. Most commonly, businesses rent 2-3 bundles. Why do I need hardware insurance?

Do I need a Shopify Account to use the hardware?
A Shopify account is required to use the Shopify POS app. If you don't have an account, start your free trial now.
Will all hardware work with my Shopify account?
POS Lite or Pro will be required for all hardware bundles.
How do I accept credit card payments?
Every bundle comes with a Shopify card reader for you to accept credit card payments. To use this device, you need to enable Shopify Payments on your store. Learn more.
Do I need to enable Shopify payments?
To use the card readers, Shopify Payments must be enabled on your store. Learn more.
Do I need WiFi at the venue to process payments?
All iPads come with 1GB of LTE data so you don’t have to worry about a WiFi connection. More than 1GB of data can be used. Data overages are charged at a rate of $15/GB.
Do I need a power source?
You'll need a power source to plug in your hardware. All bundles and add-ons include charging cables.

How do I set up the hardware?
You can hire on-site setup support or get step-by-step instructions on how to set up your hardware in the Shopify Help Center. What does on-site setup and support include?
Fello’s trained support team will set up the hardware and provide Event Ticketing training. On-site setup and support is billed at $1,500 per day based on a 2-day minimum per event/order. If support hours requested exceed (8) hours per day, overtime rates will be billed at $200 per hour, per support technician.
Travel and lodging when applicable will be billed to the customer separately.

Returning hardware
Is return shipping included?
A prepaid return shipping label is included with your order. All you have to do is re-pack the hardware and return the package(s) to UPS by the rental end date to avoid late fees.
Replacement return labels can be emailed to you. Contact the Fello Success team by email at hello@fello.com or by phone at1-866-528-6299, Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 8 pm and Friday from 9 am to 5 pm EST.
How do I return the rental?

What products does Fello offer for rent?
Fello provides rentals of iPads, GiveSmart Card Reader bundles, and accessories that can be paired with these bundles. We do not currently offer non‑Apple tablets or other AV equipment.
Can I rent only a GiveSmart Card Reader?
Fello only offers the rental of full iPad bundles; however, you can purchase Card Readers directly from GiveSmart here.

What do the rental start and end dates mean?
Your rental start date is the day you will be receiving your hardware. We ship with UPS, so your order will be delivered before the end of the day on the date you selected. If you want your equipment a day or two before your event, make sure you select that date, and not the date your event begins. Your rental end date is the day you need to make sure your equipment is returned to UPS.
How soon can I receive my equipment?
As long as your order is placed before 1:00 PM EST, we can generally deliver your equipment the next day. However, expedited shipping options can be quite expensive, so we recommend placing your order at least 1 week before you want your hardware delivered.
How long will it take to set up my hardware?
Depending on the number of iPads you are renting, you might want to receive your hardware anywhere from 1-3 days before your event. All of your hardware will be charged and ready to use when you receive it, so all you have to do is take it out of the box and plug it in.
Is return shipping included in my shipping cost?
Yes! We will include prepaid return labels in the boxes, and all you have to do is re-pack the hardware and make sure the hardware is with UPS by the end of the day on your rental end date. If you happen to lose your labels, don't worry! Just contact our Fello Success Team, and they can send you replacement labels.
